AnnaMaria DeSalva to open ICCO Global Summit in Warsaw

AnnaMaria DeSalva, Global Chairman and CEO, Hill+Knowlton Strategies will open ICCO’s Global Summit in Warsaw on Wednesday 11th October 2023. The Global Summit is an annual congregation of PR leaders and experts from across the globe, endorsed by 40 national PR associations, representing 3,000 PR agencies.

During her keynote, DeSalva will address the Summit theme, “Identity, Influence and Innovation” – reimagining PR in the age of AI and geopolitical shifts.

DeSalva said:

“As strategic communications leaders, our work has never mattered more. While today’s risk environment for businesses globally remains elevated, the opportunity for transformation also is expanding - especially given the pace of technological change. Today more than ever, business leaders are relying on intelligent communications strategy to ensure that the convergence of innovation, risk, and reputation can be successfully navigated. Getting this equation right unlocks the real potential for creative transformation and long-term sustainable value. I hope you can join me, alongside many great minds from across the PR and communications spectrum, to discuss how we can meet this moment, when we gather in Warsaw this October.”

DeSalva also serves on the executive committee of WPP, plc., the parent company of Hill+Knowlton Strategies. She is a member of the board of directors of RXO, a leading technology enabled brokered transportation provider, where she chairs the Nominating, Governance, and Sustainability Committee, and a member of the Board of Visitors of William & Mary, her alma mater. She previously served as vice chairman of the board of directors of XPO Logistics and recently completed seven years of service on the Board of Governors of Argonne National Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy. Additionally, DeSalva is a Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development of the Conference Board, a member of the Partnership for New York City, and a member of The Economic Club of New York.

The Summit will take place from 11th to 12th October at The Sheraton Grand in Warsaw. Other topics on the agenda will include combating misinformation, warshedding, climate, health, energy, talent and young professionals, M&A, as well as region-specific trends from Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
